Delaware River Rock

The Delaware River Rock is a rounded rock typically used for decorative purposes. The rock varies in sizes and colors based on the location it is found so we recommend that the customer takes a look at it before purchasing to ensure the right color and size. This is a natural rock not a dyed product. The rock stays in place well and can be used in beds or around houses to keep weeds down. When compared to mulches, river rock will not need to be refreshed as often.   

How much is one cubic yard? 

Coverage:  All of our loader buckets are calibrated to be 1, 2 or 3 cubic yards, depending on the size of the loader. However, due to the variation in size of Delaware River Rock, it is difficult to estimate how much area the “bucket” will cover. 

Weight: 1 cubic yard of Delaware River Rock weighs approximately 2,500 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle 5x8 trailer can hold 1 yard because of the weight.
