Medium Pine Bark Mulch

The medium pine bark ranges in size from approximately 1x1 inch to 2x2 inch. Pine Bark typically lasts longer than hardwood mulches, however, they have a tendency to float away with high water or heavy rains. The best application for the medium pine bark is as a coarse mulch.    


How much is one cubic yard?

Coverage: One cubic yard of the fine pine bark covers an area of 9 x 12 at three inches deep. 


Weight: 1 cubic yard of the fine pine bark weighs approximately 500-600 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle, 5x8, trailer can hold two yards. 


Common Uses: 

-Mulch  


Recommendations:

When using this mulch around plants to keep in moisture and keep weed growth down, initial layers should be 3-4 inches deep.
