Tennessee River Rock

The Tennessee River Rock is a rounded rock typically used for decorative purposes. The rock is approximately 3-7 inches in diameter. The colors are in tan and brown tones, but vary as this is a natural rock not a dyed product. The rock stays in place well and can be used in beds or around houses to keep weeds down. When compared to mulches, river rock will not need to be refreshed as often.   

How much is one cubic yard? 

Coverage:  All of our loader buckets are calibrated to be 1, 2 or 3 cubic yards, depending on the size of the loader. However, due to the variation in size of Tennessee River Rock, it is difficult to estimate how much area the “bucket” will cover. For a rough estimate, use the materials calculator on every page. Enter your length,  width and at least 6 inches for depth (due to the size of each rock which ranges from 2-7 inches). Again, this is a rough estimate and will depend a lot on how you place the rocks. 

Weight: 1 cubic yard of  Tennessee River Rock weighs approximately 2,500 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle 5x8 trailer can hold 1 yard because of the weight.
