Dyed Designer Mulches (Red, Brown and Black)

The dyed designer mulches are made of shredded pallets that have been dyed to achieve the preferred colors of black, brown or red. The Brown is available in shredded hardwood as well.

The dyed mulches typically last longer than the hardwood mulches. If placed in an area of high water during heavy rains, they can float away.

How much is one cubic yard?

Coverage: One cubic yard of the dyed mulch covers an area of 9 x 12 at three inches deep.

Weight: 1 cubic yard of the dyed mulch weighs approximately 500-600 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle, 5x8, trailer can hold two yards.

Common Uses:

-Mulch

Recommendations:

When using this mulch around plants to keep in moisture and keep weed growth down, initial layers should be 3-4 inches deep.

Don’t lay fresh dyed mulches down right before it rains as this could compromise the color.
