Fill Dirt

Fill Dirt  Fill dirt is an orangish clay subsoil that is typically used for compaction and building up an area. Our fill dirt is not screened and may contain pieces of wood, rock or debris.

The fill dirt is not stored under a shed which exposes it to rain and makes it difficult to work with after a heavy rainfall.

Fill dirt is priced by yard. We do not have a half yard price.

How much is One Cubic yard?

Coverage: One cubic yard of Fill Dirt covers an area 9 x 12 three inches deep.

Weight: 1 cubic yard of fill dirt weighs approximately 2,600 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle 5x8 trailer can hold one yard because of the weight.

Common Uses:

-To build up or raise an area.

-Filling in deeper holes.

-Base dirt to level out areas.

Recommendations:

Our fill dirt is not stored under a shed which exposes it to rain and makes it difficult to work with after a heavy rainfall. Typically, two to three dry days are needed before the dirt is dry enough to use.
