The Fine Pine bark mulch is composed of aged pine bark fines, ranging in size from pine bark dust to chips as big as a fingernail. This is considered a fine mulch, but functions better as a soil amendment. The fine pine bark is added to several of our custom mixes. If used as a mulch, it does have a tendency to float away in high water flow areas.
How big is one cubic yard?
Coverage: One cubic yard of the fine pine bark covers an area of 9 x 12 at three inches deep.

Common Uses:
-Soil Amendment
-Mulch
Recommendations:
When using as a soil amendment, you should aim for the fine pine bark to make up at least ⅓ of your soil mixture.
When using this mulch around plants to keep in moisture and keep weed growth down, initial layers should be 3-4 inches deep.
