Two to Four Mix

Our 2 to 4 mix is a custom blend that consists of 2 parts of the soil booster (a mixture of leaf compost and food waste) and 4 part local, screened topsoil.    

This custom blended soil is mixed at time of sale, due to this, you must purchase at least three yards.

How much is One Cubic yard?  

Coverage: One cubic yard of 2 to 4 mix covers an area 9 x 12 three inches deep. 

Weight: 1 cubic yard of 2 to 4 mix weighs approximately 2,000 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle 5x8 trailer can hold one yard because of the weight.   

Common Use:

-Soil for bushes and shrubs 

-Great soil for grass  

Recommendations: 

When planting grass, the suggested depth of loose soil for a healthy root system is 6-8 inches. 

If you are adding the 2 to 4 mix to existing dense soils, such as clay or other compacted dirt, consider tilling the first several inches and then adding a top dressing of 2 to 4 mix prior to seeding.
