White Coarse Sand

The white coarse sand is a larger particle sand that is often called playbox sand, concrete sand, ASTM 33, or NC 2 S.

Coverage: One cubic yard of the White Coarse Sand covers an area of 9 x 12 three inches deep.

Weight: 1 cubic yard of the White Coarse Sand weighs approximately 2,600 pounds. Most standard pick-up trucks (ex. F150) or single axle, 5x8, trailer can hold 1 yard because of the weight.

Common Uses:

-Playboxes or volleyball courts

-Bermuda grass

-Filter Sand

-Concrete

-Leveling agent for pavers

Recommendations:

Don’t use it as a foundation for an above ground swimming pool because it has larger particles which could cause the pool liner to wear down with repeated pressure.
